Claire Barber joined Polunsky Beitel Green, LLP in July 2020 as an Associate Attorney and leads the firm’s Houston office. She has substantial knowledge and experience in residential mortgage lending, specializing in legal and regulatory compliance and mortgage operations.
In her role, Ms. Barber represents the firm's clients in residential mortgage originations and provides practical guidance on industry regulatory matters, in addition to building on Polunsky Beitel Green’s long tradition of delivering loan closing documents with speed and accuracy. Prior to joining the firm, she most recently served as an associate attorney with an established law firm of a similar practice.
Ms. Barber received her law degree from South Texas College of Law, where she served as the Notes Editor for the Corporate Counsel Review, and graduated with honors from Baylor University. Ms. Barber is a current member of the Real Estate Legislative Affairs Committee serving the State Bar of Texas, and is an active member of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association.
