As the annual MBA convention in Philadelphia drew to a close, Marty Green shared his perspectives on the conference and the state of the industry.
“As I was sitting in the bar with some mortgage industry friends on Tuesday night after the Club MBA concert, a few thoughts came to mind,” said Green. “First, the adage of misery loves company never made more sense. Going through industry challenges with friends makes it much more bearable.”
“Second, the collective experience and immense talent of this group of industry leaders gives you faith that these they know how to persevere. The Survive to 25 Mantra may not have been what folks at the event wanted to hear, but if it is reality, then so be it.”
“Finally, I was excited to see some younger industry leaders making the journey. Our sector continues to age, so we definitely need younger blood to bring energy to meet the challenges ahead. Back to Texas now, hopefully to see the Rangers beat the Astros two more times to advance to the World Series – and maybe a return to Philly!”
